NiQ Health would like to extend its congratulations to their Gold Partner ELA based in Perth, Western Australia on their successful integration of CarePlus™ into two leading healthcare facilities. ELA has over 40 years’ experience in designing and integrating electronic systems with a strong focus on nurse call, healthcare applications, audio visual, patient entertainment and security systems. Since 1971, ELA has provided product integration and support services to every hospital in Western Australia. ELA won the tender to install the CarePlus™ Nurse Call Solution into Hollywood Private Hospital and into Bunbury Public Hospital, a part of South West Health Campus.
Both NiQ Health and ELA have a successful, long-standing relationship with Hollywood Private Hospital. The facility, operated by Ramsay Health Care, is undergoing a $74.1 million expansion project anticipated to be completed in late 2015. The project will see Hollywood Private Hospital emerge as Western Australia’s largest private hospital. ELA have been successful in securing the Nurse Call integration and upgrade to six (6) new theatres and two (2) new thirty (30) bed wards, all single rooms with ensuite bathrooms.
Hollywood Private Hospital is one of the largest CarePlus™ hospitals in Australia. Hollywood Private Hospital assisted NiQ Health with the development of their Executive Reports in the CarePlus™ Reporting Module. The current Reporting Module is based on the requirements of Ramsay Nurse Managers. In 2013, Hollywood Private Hospital was placed first in a national survey of patient satisfaction in the ‘private hospital with over 300 beds’ category. A target of Hollywood Private Hospital is for their customer satisfaction to always be in the 90th percentile, the CarePlus™ Nurse Call Solution works to improve workflow and efficiency of staff to assist in reducing time to respond to nurse call alarms. Rapid response by the correct caregiver offers improved patient satisfaction.
CarePlus™ Gold Partner ELA has also been successful in securing the nurse call upgrade for Bunbury Hospital at the South West Health Campus. Since 2009, almost $27 million has been invested into the improvement of Bunbury Hospital. Expansion projects and redevelopments have included Western Australia’s first regional Intensive Care Unit, the expansion of their Emergency Department, the opening of a Radiation Oncology Service Centre, and improvements to breast cancer screening for the region. This latest upgrade will be overseen by Saint John of God Bunbury Private Hospital, who manages Bunbury Public Hospital on behalf of the State Government. ELA has recently completed the nurse call upgrade to the CarePlus™ Nurse Call Solution across all wards in Saint John of God Bunbury Private Hospital, part of their $14.5 million expansion project. After the success of this project, ELA was chosen to implement CarePlus™ across Bunbury Public Hospital too.
