CarePlus™ Wireless has successfully been installed at the Nursing and Midwifery Department at the Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Bunbury, Western Australia. Following the fantastic feedback CarePlus™ Hospital received at ECU’s Joondalup campus, ELA was commissioned to install CarePlus™ Wireless in the 24-room demonstration wards in Bunbury. Students are able to experience real-life Nurse Call care management, providing optimal engagement and proficiency to prepare future healthcare professionals for the workforce.
CarePlus™ Wireless utilises clinical-grade wireless communication for faster performance, greater integration and improved workflow in any healthcare facility. A wireless Nurse Call solution – with no cables to beds – was chosen by ECU due to building architecture constraints. CarePlus™ Wireless was the most cost effective and practical solution.
Todd Emery, General Manager of ELA, says ECU wanted minimal disturbance, cost-efficiency and superior design with real-life advanced technology. “CarePlus™ doesn’t negotiate on reliability, productivity or safety. Students can focus on learning with fast and direct communication with an authentic Nurse Call system. CarePlus™ is their foundation for coordinated care.”
